Letter to Parents/Guardians

August 16, 2010

Dear Families,

I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Christina Tyner and I am honored to be your child’s Earth Science teacher. This is my fifth year of teaching, fourth year at Escondido High School and I am so excited to be your students teacher. My teaching degree is in Adoloescent Education - Geoscience and I graduated in 2005 from The State University of New York at Cortland. I am currently working on my Masters degree in Educational Leadership from National University.

I am looking forward to working with you and your child in reaching his or her full potential. We will have many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow in the days, weeks, and months ahead.

I believe that communication is the key to a great parent-teacher relationship. I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time. You can send me an email at ctyner@euhsd.k12.ca.us or call me at 760-291-4000. I will also do my part by sending out an newsletter each week to update you on what we have been doing in class as well as things that are up coming. For individual concerns, I will contact you by phone, send a note home, or email you (if an email address is provided).

Please feel free to participate in your students year as much as you are able. Helping hands are always needed. Your participation in your students learning will enrich all of our classroom experiences.

I am looking forward to a wonderful and exciting year with you and your student!

Mrs. C. Tyner
